Dara Akala - Associate

Dara Akala is a sustainable development specialist with more than 25 years multi-layered professional experience across public sector and private voluntary institutions. His area of expertise is in natural resource management, rural sector programme development, and micro enterprise development including micro finance. His key technical skills include: economic analysis of projects, project monitoring and evaluation, facilitation skills, learning resources development and multi-sectoral partnership building.


Dara brings with him valuable experience from many years of working in the Niger Delta area of Nigeria. He was responsible for establishing Living Earth Nigeria Foundation and is currently managing Living Earth’s projects in the Delta.
