Chris Callaghan - Programmes Director

An International Development specialist, Chris spent most of the 1980s in Sudan, first as a teacher, then working with Save the Children during the 1985/86 famine before joining the Ockenden Venture to work with Ethiopian and Eritrean refugees. He swapped the desert for the green hills of Uganda and a stint with HelpAge International working with a local disabled people's organisation.

From 1991 to 1999 Chris worked in a variety of positions in UK, Malawi and Zimbabwe with ActionAid.

He joined Living Earth as the Cameroon Programme Manager in November 1999, and is now Programmes Director

Current focus is organisational development, training and capacity building.
