Thinking on the Edge

Through the Mermaids Purse Project Living Earth has published a resource pack entitled Thinking on the Edge: Thinking activities to develop citizenship and environmental awareness around Morcambe Bay.
The project worked with nine schools around the Bay to produce a resource pack for teachers. The pack uses philosophy for children and critical skills approaches to develop children's reflective thinking on the coastal environment, particularly environmental and citizenship education around Morecambe Bay.

The pack is suitable for teachers of KS2 & 3, with ideas appropriate to geography, RE, art and science as well as environmental and citizenship education.

The publication is available to purchase. It costs £5 for schools in Cumbria and £15 to schools elsewhere (postage and packaging included). The book can be purchased by sending a cheque (payable to the Morecambe Bay Partnership) or county order to:
