Cross River State has 18 Local Government Areas (LGAs):

Akpabuyo (HQ in Ikot Nnakanda)
Akamkpa Abi Bakassi (HQ in Abana)
Bekwarra (HQ in Abuochichi)
Biase (HQ in Akpet Central)
Boki (HQ in Boje)
Calabar Municipality
Calabar South (HQ in Anantigha)
Etung (HQ in Effraya)
Ikom
Obudu
Ogoja

In addition to the LGAs in Cross River, there are many local government departments. LENF worked with the Cross River State Forestry Development Department (CRSFDD) to share expertise and promote ways of supporting Community Forestry.

CRSFDD is a government agency responsible for the enforcement of forest laws and regulations in Cross River State.

Bayelsa State
Bayelsa became an independent state in 1996. It has eight Local Government Areas (LGAs):
